Customer: “Oh, wow. Sorry.”
Me: “No, it’s okay. I’m almost done washing my hands.”
Customer: “You shouldn’t do that on the clock.”
Me: “Do what?”
Customer: “Be in the bathroom washing your hands.”
Me: “I think the people I just dropped food off for might disagree with you on that one.”

If I had a dime for every guest who told me how to run my dining room, I could fill said dining room. Makes you wish you could hit a pause button so that you could come up with something really derogatory, but not bad enough to get you into trouble. Something like, “Well, I just cleaned the grease trap before dropping off you food, so I thought it was about time.”

Argh. Sorry. Coming off back to back ten hour shifts…close last night and open this morning. My waitress humor appears to be on break. I hope it washes it’s hands.

People are dumb. I had one customer call in to one of my people and ask if an item that say online orders only was available in a store near her. Bwah?! I gave my agent high marks and praise for dealing with the situation.
