In most cases poor tips are left as a result of the lack of knowledge regarding them. Whenever i go out to eat i leave ridiculously large tips...sometimes even 40%, however, i went out to eat with my mom one one occasion and she left a crap tip and i was like mom how much did you leave and when she told me the amount i informed her that the standard gratuity percentage is 15%...and it turned out that she thought that the standard for gratuity was 10%. So don't always think oh they must be racist...maybe they simply do not know. Now i won't say that there aren't racist people out there because sadly there are....but don't categorize everyone that way based off of bad experience(s) with some individuals.
