I Don’t Like Listening To Girls Going To The Bathroom.

Guys and girls, tell me if I’m wrong.

I’m just about finished with cleaning the women’s bathroom last night when a girl came rushing in.

Me: “Oh, I’m sorry. I’ll be right out.”
Her: “No, it’s okay. I’m just gonna go to the bathroom.”
    Me: “Uh…no…I’ll be right outside.”
    Her: “No, it’s…”
    (Sound of door closing)

When I went outside, my co-workers John and Yuki asked what was going on. I informed them that a girl had gone into the restroom and didn’t mind that I stay in there. Yuki, drunk on flavored-sake, replied that he would peep over the door and ask if “everything was alright in there.”

Yuki is an 18 year old in a 29 year old’s body.

John sarcastically remarked that he loved listening to the sound of a girl going to the bathroom echoing off the hollow walls of a restroom. At least I hope it was sarcastic.

My question is: Should I have stayed in there? Was I justified in leaving? And to the girls, does it really not matter if someone is in the bathroom. A guy can go no problem with someone else in the bathroom, but I think the rules are a bit different for the ladies. Let me know your opinion.

Both sexes have no problem going to the bathroom with others of the same gender. When it comes to the opposite gender, it’s individual (and circumstantial), I think.

In your shoes, I would have just finished the cleaning and then left.

    2. Bill Says:

I don’t think it was a mater of social comfort as it was “I got to go and I don’t care who’s around.” In another circumstance I’m sure she would have waited.

    3. Alex H. Says:

It probably honestly didn’t matter, as Bill said, but I think it was polite of you to step outside anyway. I probably would’ve done the same in that situation.

any female with any amount of class would not have told you to stay, even if she had an emergency and had to go as soon as she got into a stall. maybe she would have gone anyway, but she would have minded had you stayed in the bathroom. normally i think any girl would have waited for you to leave the restroom. whether she said “stay” or not, you should have left. . . that shows her that even though she has no class, you do. if you were female on the other hand, it would be different. girls go to the bathroom with girls all the time, no matter if they are employees or not.

perhaps bill is right? but regardless, i personally wouldn’t have wanted another guy in the same bathroom =P hence why i chose non-coed bathrooms in residence =P

    6. Osiris Says:

It’s funny because while she may have done it with you in there, she wouldn’t have done it with anyone in there - guy or girl - had there not been a door on the stall.

Take it from a college student who never thought the prank of stealing a couple stall doors would have the female half of his residence up in arms like they were all told they belong in the kitchen and shouldn’t be allowed to vote.

    7. Shadowbird Says:

Osiris, if I had to shit in front (in plain sight) of someone, I’d be pretty reserved (and, consequentally, “up in arms”) as well.

the same thing happened to me yesterday at work while i was cleaning the mens bathroom. i came out of one of the stalls(i have to sanatize the seats) and there was a guy standing right there, at the urinal! i was loke, i’m sorry, and i walked out and waited until he’d finished. another man had also walked in(before the guy who was peeing) and when i offered to leave, he said he’d wait until i’d finished cleaning. Also, i know it’s policy at the place i work at that if you’re cleaing the opposite sex’s bathroom, you have to leave the door proped open and leave if someone need to use it…

    9. Cyn Says:

      I completelyagree with your choice to leave. If I were in a bathroom with a guy cleaning it I might say to stay just to be polite, but I KNOW I wouldn’tfeel comphortable going. I barely feelcomphortable enough going when there are other women in there. ^^;;

    10. Tori Says:

I don’t even like peeing when there are other women in the bathroom. Nor do I want to hear anyone else. You made the right call.

    11. Shayna Says:

Personally, I don’t care about peeing in front of people - and I care even less about peeing where someone can hear me. But the reason I practice modesty is because I know that others may not be comfortable seeing/hearing me pee. My guess is that she doesn’t care and/or just had to go so bad that it didn’t matter at the moment, but you weren’t comfortable being there so its probably good that you left.

In short, I’m with Bill - it’s about personal choice.

    12. Officer Sugartits Says:

For just number one and I’m in a stall, I could maybe go with a guy in the bathroom. I’d rather not though.
Number two and/or in full views - no chance. Not even in front of my boyfriend.

    13. TTFK Says:

“Miss, you’ll probably want to wait a few minutes. The last person to use the toilet had very bad aim, and I haven’t cleaned it up yet.”

That should buy you a good 15 minutes..

    14. puke Says:

      Girls are whores.
