In my experience, I have to agree completlely. Some of the best tippers are blacks and asians, but overall blacks do tip a smaller percentage, and whites are generally the only guests who stiff me. Mexicans are a whole different story: $2. Four-top: $80 check: $2 tip. Two-top: $30 check: $2 tip. Eight-top: $150 check: $2 tip. Get the point? And I'm mexican (but I tip better when I go out). That said, each of these guests got the same top-notch service (I do average better than 20% overall after tipping support staff) regardless of race, or what I predicted their tip would be, even if they asked for White-Zin.
